Blue Moonstone Statement Ring- Sculptural Sterling Silver Live Edge Band, Size 9.5

There is something extraordinary about the meeting of raw, sculptural silver and the ethereal beauty of moonstone.

An exceptional, glowing blue moonstone takes center stage in this one-of-a-kind statement ring. Its unusual, softly angular cut reveals brilliant flashes of electric blue beneath a luminous, translucent surface, with delicate natural inclusions adding depth and character to the stone.

The setting is paired with one of my signature Live Edge bands, a substantial, organically sculpted creation in sterling silver. Rather than beginning with conventional ring wire, I heat and shape sterling silver into an irregular band, work it through my rolling mill, and fuse the surface with fine silver dust. The result is a wonderfully tactile landscape of rugged textures, softly undulating edges, and rich, darkened recesses that emphasize every detail.

The band is exceptionally thick and weighty, with a reassuring presence that feels almost like a small piece of wearable sculpture. Despite its substantial construction, it has been carefully shaped for comfortable wear.

There is a beautiful tension in this design: the untamed, earthy character of the metal against the moonstone's cool, celestial brilliance. Ancient and contemporary all at once, it is a ring for someone who appreciates the beauty of imperfection, the artistry of handmade metalwork, and jewelry with a presence entirely its own.

About the Stone

Moonstone's captivating glow is created by adularescence, an optical phenomenon in which light interacts with microscopic layers within its feldspar crystal structure. This produces a shifting, luminous sheen that seems to emerge from deep within the gemstone. Moonstone has a Mohs hardness of 6–6.5.

Long associated with the divine feminine, moonstone is believed to encourage intuition, emotional healing, and inner tranquility. Its gentle, luminous energy is said to foster compassion and a deeper connection to the natural cycles and subtle rhythms of life.
