Brilliant faceted labradorites glow with shifting blue, green and gold in these one-of-a-kind mixed-metal earrings. Each generously sized oval stone is surrounded by an intricate copper filigree bezel, creating a warm, ornamental frame around the cool iridescence of the labradorite.

The faceted surfaces break the stones' natural flash into changing planes of color, moving from mossy green and golden yellow to vivid electric blue as the earrings turn in the light. The copper has been darkened around its recessed details, emphasizing the delicate pattern of the filigree and giving the settings an antique quality.

Small forged sterling silver accents finish the bottom of each setting, while hand-forged solid sterling silver ear hooks provide a cool contrast to the warmth of the copper.

The reverse is just as detailed. Each earring is backed in copper embossed with a flowing floral pattern, carrying the ornamentation all the way around the piece.

At approximately 1.75 inches long from the top of the ear hook and about 6 grams each, these earrings offer substantial gemstone presence in a relatively compact silhouette.

Stone note: Labradorite is known for labradorescence — the remarkable optical effect that produces flashes of blue, green, gold and other colors as light strikes the stone from different angles. Because the flash changes with lighting, movement and viewing angle, the appearance of these stones will continually shift as the earrings move.

I pour my heart and soul into crafting these unique, artisanal jewelry pieces. From concept to completion, every detail is carefully considered and executed by my own two hands in my humble home studio, ensuring a truly one-of-a-kind treasure.

Labradorite stones often feature small inclusions, which are a natural result of the stone's unique formation process. Labradorite is a type of plagioclase feldspar that forms through the slow cooling of magma deep within the earth's crust. As the magma cools, tiny particles of other minerals can become trapped within the stone, creating small inclusions. These inclusions are a testament to the stone's natural origins and do not detract from its beauty or value.

Labradorite is also revered for its powerful shielding properties, offering protection from negative energies, electromagnetic pollution, and emotional drain. It's said to create a barrier of light around the wearer, deflecting unwanted influences and promoting a sense of safety and well-being. By shielding us from negative energies, labradorite allows us to stay grounded and centered, even in chaotic or challenging environments.
