A luminous faceted labradorite rises from an intricately patterned copper hollow form in this one-of-a-kind statement ring. Brilliant flashes of blue, aqua, green and gold move across the stone's faceted surface, surrounded by an ornate sterling silver filigree bezel and tiny hand-forged silver accents.
The gemstone rests atop a hand-fabricated hollow form, creating a beautifully sculptural silhouette that sits higher on the hand than a traditional gemstone ring. Measuring approximately 1.25 inches across and .5 inches tall, it has a substantial dimensional presence while remaining wonderfully lightweight thanks to its hollow construction.
The warm copper base is richly embossed with a botanical pattern, creating a striking contrast against the cool silver and shifting colors of the labradorite. Even the band is part of the design: a wide, adjustable, solid sterling silver Art Nouveau floral pattern wraps around the finger, continuing the ornate botanical detailing beneath the ring.
Bold from every angle but surprisingly light on the hand, this piece brings together traditional metalsmithing techniques, intricate pattern and the extraordinary natural flash of labradorite.

Labradorite stones often feature small inclusions, which are a natural result of the stone's unique formation process. Labradorite is a type of plagioclase feldspar that forms through the slow cooling of magma deep within the earth's crust. As the magma cools, tiny particles of other minerals can become trapped within the stone, creating small inclusions. These inclusions are a testament to the stone's natural origins and do not detract from its beauty or value.
Labradorite is also revered for its powerful shielding properties, offering protection from negative energies, electromagnetic pollution, and emotional drain. It's said to create a barrier of light around the wearer, deflecting unwanted influences and promoting a sense of safety and well-being. By shielding us from negative energies, labradorite allows us to stay grounded and centered, even in chaotic or challenging environments.
