Horse Canyon Agate, Labradorite and Aqua Chalcedony Statement Earrings

Three distinctly different gemstones come together in these one-of-a-kind statement earrings, moving from dark, faceted labradorite through beautifully patterned Horse Canyon agate to luminous drops of aqua chalcedony.

At the top, faceted labradorites flash with deep blue-green color. Below them are elongated Horse Canyon agates filled with extraordinary natural landscapes of mossy green, cream and translucent stone. Their intricate inclusions look almost like tiny worlds suspended beneath the polished surface. Soft aqua chalcedony drops finish the composition with a clear wash of blue.

Each gemstone is individually wrapped in fine silver, with hand-forged sterling silver connections allowing the three sections to move independently. The backs reveal another side of the design: richly embossed copper patterned with scrolling botanical details, creating a warm contrast to the cool silver and blue-green stones.

At approximately 3.5 inches long, these are substantial statement earrings with an elegant vertical silhouette. Each earring weighs approximately 10 grams.

About the stones

Labradorite is a feldspar prized for labradorescence, the optical effect that produces its shifting flashes of blue, green, gold and other colors. These faceted stones have a darker body color that makes their blue-green flash especially striking.

Horse Canyon agate is a distinctive agate associated with the Horse Canyon area of California and is known for highly individual patterns, inclusions and scenic-looking formations. These stones have beautiful mossy green inclusions suspended within areas of translucent cream and clear agate, giving each one the appearance of a miniature landscape.

Aqua chalcedony is a translucent variety of microcrystalline quartz. Its softly glowing blue color provides a beautiful contrast to the intricate patterning of the agate and the darker flash of the labradorite above it.
